There's a big difference between the filesystem populating itself and something else populating it. IMO, the imap-fs should be self-populating, but allow for some filesystem operations which it translates to IMAP actions. If the fs wouldn't populate itself (from the backend) and like the cdda-fs allow only a subset of manipulations (relative to a full read/ write "real" filesystem like BFS) there would be no real point, IMO to having an imap-fs in the first place. /Jonas
