We of course tried this before finalizing the case. Should have known Kevin would think of this too. Lots of devices have magnets on them these days. The force is so slight there isn't a problem around media sources.

This is an interesting one. I took my CompactFlash card out of my PK and
slid both sides of the card on both sides of the magnet and placed it back
into the PK and things are still working. So, I would say that there isn't
anything to worry about and if there were then I wouldn't imagine that they
wouldn't have used magnets in the case to begin with.

Thanks,

Kevin

That was an interesting question about the magnets, I never saw the answer
to that one either. By the way, I have not had much chance to experiment
with my gps, and had it since November.
HAVE been tied up with my elderly mother's paperwork, but today took it out
on a drive, in a car and it did great! So nice to know what I'm passing
while being driven around the town. This is truly wonderful. Karen and
Harpo with greater understanding now.

This case for the PK sounds very nice indeed. Someone asked a
while back,
though, if the magnetic closures have any negative effect on
storage cardsor
anything like that, you know, I guess rather like the way magnets
have a bad
effect on computers and should be kept away from them? Does
anyone know the
answer to this question? I don't ever remember seeing an
answer...
Thanks.

If you convert the US dollars to UK pounds, it will be much the same
if not cheaper. Plus, you are helping the Sendero company as they
you.

The case is really neat.
Go for it.
Sylvia.
