I'd think the only reasons you'd get "heading unknown" is because you are
either
not moving, or you haven't acquired a fix.

I failed to understand why GPS always displays "heading unknown" all time. I
want ot know what is ahead of my walking. If it is work but I do not want the
displays tells me "hehind.....". I prefer Ahead only.
