I updated the FAQ in the Wiki as per your guidance.  Thanks to all the 
developers for the great application and thank you especially for the great 
support!

Yes, mention that the functionality will be in gPodder >= 3.1.0 and for
the "workaround" (it's rather a normal feature that's not very user
friendly and well hidden ;) you can also document this. The GPODDER_HOME
environment variable is actually universal for all platforms, and it's
documented in the README file. As people might not start looking there,
it might make sense to add a pointer/hint in the FAQs as well :)
