For me, GMPI cannot be designed in one time, one step. The first Step is a
minimal SDK wich will be a kind of faisability study (I know too that if we
solve too many questions in the same time, we will miss the fundamental
goals), i read people talking about TAR file, compexe DATABASE, XML stuff
etc... this is ridiculous, the first point of the SDK has to be a State of
The Art in term of Simplicity , not only for the programmer, but also for
the processor and the O/S (The succes of GMPI is not based only on the
actual audiosoftware - wich will be obsolete surely when the GMPI format
will come - , but also in the how it could interest hardware maker or
computer based system which does not use modern O/S). So if we go in the way
where we put the good questions at the good time, i think at least that
today the wrapper stuff is out of subject.
