Ok Philip let's say that one of the astronauts was a card-carrying satanist,

I'd say he'd probably steal as many moon rocks as he could and sell them on the
black market when he got home....
Back in the 50's When I was an avid Star Treker, Asimov fan, the nuns told us
that space was the abode of the Devil, and that space research was for those
seeking him. Of course I told them they were nuts...
Today I think maybe they were right, in some ways....
