Ok Allen I'll swing back on that one for now. I like Neals page so far.
Interesting diverse look at evolution. I have much further to go yet to finish
it all before I comment. However, this short injection,

given it talks in aeons of years, and I ascribe to 6-7 thousand years of
existence, I must re state my previous , that these are just the theories of
evolution amongst which may be the correct or most likely way God COULD have
allowed things to happen, had He not decided to just create the finished
product. That is he created in 6 days an aged universe fossils and all. A
mystery to confuse the proud wise , and a proof of His infinite power to the
believers who desire Him.

Sure..the heavens were of old...he could have made earth old but the points
that are boruth out is that the evidnce/logic they use to "prover" a old earth
infact contridicts there own conclusions...........but in any case all that
misses the point......where did the water come from and where did it go after
the flood......the grand cannon has no trace of alll that dirt that got swept
away via the river or the mega lake that caused it suposedly ......if ithe
grand cannon took too place before the flood we would expect it to have goten
filled in at the start........a smaler earth explains alot about gravity larger
animls/ insects, why it would not have had to rained before the flood due to
the mag field.....streagnth of Grav feild Giants..no comsic rays..no
rain.&.longer life expectancies...ect...a smaller earth not only fits the
evidence but solves alot and fundimental prolbmes that have gone unanserable in
any meaningfull way.....

At this stage, I cannot see a smaller quarter sized world, being around at the
time it was created just 6000 years ago. Too many problem dynamics for human
and animal life styles.

on the contray most of the expansion would have taken place during the 1 year
of the flood itself as such all those torental waves that MS scoffs at would be
nothing more then ripples in a pond..due to the decompression effects on the
waves via expanding medium...

clouds in genesis,

13 I will set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be the sign of a covenant
between me, and between the earth. 14 And when I shall cover the sky with
clouds, my bow shall appear in the clouds: 15 And I will remember my covenant
with you, and with every living soul that beareth flesh: and there shall no
more be waters of a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 And the bow shall be in the
clouds, and I shall see it, and shall remember the everlasting covenant, that
was made between God and every living soul of all flesh which is upon the
earth.
This is after the flood not before..no mention of clouds before the flood in
Genisis or anywhere else for that mater..
Philip.

Phil,

The issuse is not the first rainbow but the first rain and the text states
that God did not let it rain but does indicate how things were wattered absent
of rain.....Genisis 2:5-6..."there went a mist form the earth and watered the
whole face of the ground".....all things considered Nevilles point was valid in
that it needs to be addressed............i did so in my last post .......My
last post:

Where does it mention clouds in the Genesis?....MS knows that clouds are formed
via condensation seeds. Further, they claim Cosmic rays/particles entering
earths atmosphere are the primary external of man made, condensation
seeds......(trapped cosmic rays form the aurora borealis and such).....The
amount of these cosmic rays that get into our atmosphere are directly
correlated to solar activity.. at solar maximum the earths Magnetic field is
significantly "blown away"/ reduced in its effectiveness, so as to allow for
cosmic particles to enter the earths magnetic field...... ...However, even MS
asserts that in the past the earths magnetic field was significantly stronger
and on a much smaller earth it would be a more dense field as well..thus it is
conceivable that no cosmic rays were allowed to reach earth in any significant
quantities to allow for condensation seeds in the atmosphere....strong mag
field = no cosmic rays=condensation seeds =no clouds=no
 rain .......................

I'm from the southeast and on a hot humid days (even without any clouds the
atmosphere can hold plenty of muggy humidity)..... the morings will be cool
with plenty of dew.......

Philip touches upon an interesting problem here when he says that before the
Flood there was no rain. However, because of the way that the water cycle works
(mentioned in Eccl. along with geocentrism), this could not have been true.

Neville

No problem Neville A closer read of Genises reveals that God used the rainbow
as a sign to remember His covenant not to destroy by flood again. This did not
say explicitly that it was the first rainbow. Hence rain has always been .

I had read years ago, and believed, erroneously, that this was the first time a
rainbow had ever occured.. such is a childish myth apparently, as my reading
today shows no such thing. The evangelical documentary was Bible based, and was
the same documentary which gave me the idea of the water above making a lenze
in the atmosphere, where they claimed the stars were more brilliant preflood.
You dispensed with this claim before.

I retract my words and will reajust the overview.

Philip.
