Janet, Huh? This seems like very odd advice. Writing over the checkpoint file with the initialized checkpoint wipes out the last good checkpoint file. If you then rebooted the CP, you'd wind up with no control database in the CP and a very confused CSA. I assume that deleting the /opt/fox/csa files takes care of the latter problem, but why would Ken want to do this? If they are different sizes, copy the DB<CP letterbug>..init to DB<CP letterbug>..UC. Another option, which will likely force you to reboot and reload the controls is listed below: On the AW, change directory to /opt/fox/csa and delete the following files: CMPD_INDEX.datCMPD_INDEX.idxSTN_INDEX.idxSTN_INDEX.dat Additionally, remove the <SCP Letterbug ID> directory. However, I would call the help desk before performing any of these procedures.
