Another solution is to make your own cursor. We did that here, with good results. There is a line in init.user that reads: #Foxview file for different cursor Under that we put in: FXCURSOR=3D/opt/fox/wp/FoxView/cursor/crosshair_large The file "crosshair_large" is one of about 3 choices you get in the /opt/fox/wp/FoxView/cursor directory. I think "crosshair_small" and "arrow_large" are the other possible names. As long you name your file one of these names, it will work. It doesn't actually matter what it is in that file, as long as it is a bitmap of some sort. If you create a bitmap and don't call it one of those three things, it will never work. The way to create the actual bitmap is to use the program /usr/openwin/bin/iconedit. It's kind of like MS Paint. You can make it look like almost anything you want. You must create six files: crosshair_large.cur, crosshair_large_busy.cur, crosshair_large_mask.cur, crosshair_large_busy_mask.cur, crosshair_large_menu.cur, and crosshair_large_menu_mask.cur. The crosshair_large_menu file is the same as the crosshair_large file. The mask file is the same shape as the "large", "busy", and ""menu files, only with all the bits in the bitmap filled in, kind of like the shadow of the original. We even made our mask file slightly larger so we could see it on the screen. It takes a little practice to use, but once you get the hang of it, it is pretty simple. Like I said, FoxView is very particular about the names and the location of these files. They must have these exact six names, and they must be in /opt/fox/wp/FoxView/cursor, and you must put that line in init.user, or it absolutely will not work. Believe me, I've tried. Oh, and of course, you must reboot. I can help you off-line if you get stuck. I'm sure someone must have done this before. Can the cursor of the Display Manager be changed in size? Operators are complaining (since the upgrade from WP30 to WP51) about the size of the cursor (arrow). It's too small.
