While I don't actively engage in applications these are some of the info that have come into the center over the years. A piece of info that sometimes gets overlooked when moving time forward are applications based on time, scheduled tasks..etc Not everyone changes the clock at 0200. Many wait until Mon.AM when all of operations are working or any other convenient time. If your one hour ahead jump happens to coincide within a timeframe that you have scheduled reports, other apps based on time, or TIM command referencing seconds since midnight, you may inadvertantly jump over a sequence or time sensitive event. -----Original Message----- From: foxboro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:foxboro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of waseem ghani Sent: Friday, May 30, 2008 8:28 AM To: foxboro@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [foxboro] Clock to be advanced Dear Sir In accordance with the decision of Federal Cabinet of Pakistan, we are required to advance our clocks by one hour with effect from June 01, 2008. Please confirm that if we advance the master time keeper on our AW51D ( Boilers) and AW51E (CDU) time on APC PC, what impact will this have on the performance of DCS and/or APC and what else should be done to avoid any undesired effect on the systems. An earnest reponse in this regard is highly appreciated.
