Thanks for the feedback, even if the news is bad. I'll read up on B0400SD
this weekend. Right now it is Miller Time; or in my case, Pinot Noir

The 40 & 40Bs are hardware interchangeable, but your hopes may be dashed re:
no re-committal.
B0400SD details the procedure --- that should provide all the info you need
about CP40 to CP40B conversion.
