Russ,
I use that feature when adding points but it uses a default 0.5% of the
block configured scale as a delta and that often isn't what I want. I then
have to go into the RTP configurator and find it and change it from there. AIM
Historian is really a kludgy hot mess. Once you add a point it is a real pain
to delete that point if the instrument gets removed from the field and it even
counts the deleted point in your point license total. I don't see a way to
purge/permanently delete it from the AIM historian database. If you rename a
compound then you must go into AIM and delete all of those points and re-add
them with the new compound name. These are just a few of my observations and
maybe I just don't know enough about the AIM historian but it is far from
intuitive in my opinion. I hope the Wonderware historian functions are a lot
better than AIM.

Doesn't anyone just use the histcfg browse feature?
AIMAPI server finds all your compounds and blocks and allows selection by
filtering...
Can build a 2000 point historian in like 15 minutes .....
