There's more to it than I originally let on. We have 20+ PLCs on 5
different A-B highways, some bridged to others with various A-B devices. A
single DF1-capable FBM224 would probably have trouble with it, though we
could use one per A-B highway and probably get by. As it stands, RSLinx
as an OPC server handles our setup effortlessly, and though I don't love
the Windows aspect of the AW70, it has worked pretty well once we got off
NT.

That said, I got my first exposure to Prosoft a couple weeks ago.
Interesting little box. Probably the way to go for Modbus with
Controllogix/Compactlogix, as A-B's own implementation is in ladder (?!)
and it doesn't seem very robust.

Well,

You can use the FBM224 with AB - just need one of the ProSoft modules
- either inrax if you have a slot open or din rail if not to map the
addresses.

Cheers,
