Hi;

Apply on windows 2000 Advanced Server-based computer has more than 1 GB
of physical RAM, use the /3GB switch in the Boot.ini file to give User
mode programs such as Exchange to have access to 3 GB of virtual address
space. For more information this issue, see the following article number
to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

266096 Exchange 2000 requires /3GB switch with more than 1 gigabyte of
physical RAM

Important Only use the /3GB switch with the following operating systems:

* Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Datacenter Edition
* Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition
* Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server
* Microsoft Windows 2000 Datacenter Server
* Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Enterprise Server

Best Regards,

I just informed with my colleague and he told me the warning and errors
have not appeared anymore after applying KB266768 again: "The
recommended size on servers without the /3GB switch set: 147456 (576 MB)
" Maybe this is also a solution for your problem...

Please let me know if you get this resolved, we spent weeks trying all
sorts of things including hotfixes, config changes, memory tweaks etc,
opened case with MS. Prob went through virtually every article and it
still occurs on couple of our servers. It even happens on servers that
only have a few users.

You can get the hotfix by calling Microsoft as the KB article explains.
The call is free.
The hotfix is free.

Getting hotfixes from untrusted sources is NOT a good idea.

Hi Everyone,

After debug a lot and restart the machine several times in
different situation, I think this is the problem that still remains
unsolved.
Does anybody have these files or the hotfix from Microsoft to
solve this issue?
        I really do appreciate!
