I'm close to tossing a hundred bucks their way for an anser ;-) Thanks for your suggestions! -----Original Message----- From: Kim Vandegrift [mailto:kim.vandegrift@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, February 06, 2003 12:08 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: ArcServer 2000 and Second Exchange 2000 Server http://www.MSExchange.org/ That's a strange one. I just went to look at my backup job to see if there were any properties on any of the exchange stuff that might possibly have the chance to point to something other than the exchange server intended and I can't find anything. Do you have support for Arcserve you could call? This sounds like one of those times it's worth it to burn an incident call. -----Original Message----- From: Chris McNally [mailto:cmcnally@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, February 06, 2003 2:48 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: ArcServer 2000 and Second Exchange 2000 Server http://www.MSExchange.org/ Rather than trying in an existing job I've been trying to do a straight on demand back up. He sees the server and recognizes it as an Exchange server but doesn't find the mailboxes that are on that particular server, it reverts to the original Exchange server. ~~ Chris McNally Information Technology Seating Concepts, LLC San Diego, CA 619-491-3159 -----Original Message----- From: Kim Vandegrift [mailto:kim.vandegrift@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, February 06, 2003 11:35 AM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] RE: ArcServer 2000 and Second Exchange 2000 Server http://www.MSExchange.org/ Have you tried to remove the exchange server from the backup job and repackage it. Then go back into the job and add the server and repackage? With Arcserve I've solved problems with recognizing servers before this way. -----Original Message----- From: Chris McNally [mailto:cmcnally@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, February 06, 2003 1:02 PM To: [ExchangeList] Subject: [exchangelist] ArcServer 2000 and Second Exchange 2000 Server http://www.MSExchange.org/ Hi all, I moved off of my original Exchange box to a new server. The move has gone relatively well but I can't get Arcserve to recognize brick level or message store on the new Exchange server, it only sees the mailboxes that are left on the original server. I have done every combination I can think of for installation of client licenses etc. but I just can't get the new Exchange box to drill down for backups. When I drill down within Arcserve no matter which way I approach the listings under mailboxes are the half dozen or so left on the original server. Any ideas? ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: kim.vandegrift@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: cmcnally@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: kim.vandegrift@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub') ------------------------------------------------------ List Archives: http://www.webelists.com/cgi/lyris.pl?enter=exchangelist Exchange Newsletters: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/newsletter.asp Exchange FAQ: http://www.msexchange.org/pages/larticle.asp?type=FAQ ------------------------------------------------------ ISA Server Resource Site: http://www.isaserver.org Windows Security Resource Site: http://www.windowsecurity.com/ Windows 2000/NT Fax Solutions: http://www.ntfaxfaq.com ------------------------------------------------------ You are currently subscribed to this MSExchange.org Discussion List as: cmcnally@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send a blank email to $subst('Email.Unsub')
