Well, lessee here. The Burb is gettin old (about 180k on it) but is
gonna have to do for the foreseeable future. It needs to have the
new PS pump installed. I think I'm gonna pay somebody to do that
one. Rufus (the Model A) is still in Doc Freud's garage in Washington but I hope that it'll soon be heading for a shop to get a dropped axle in front, juice brakes and a quick change rear end. That's what Freud wants to do with it, so I'm happy to let him do it. http://www.target550.com/gallery/46_rufus_the_new_press_truck/index.html The Monte Carlo (aka the Race Car) is still being worked on: I just made the aluminum plate and got it all smoothed out...now I need to drill the mounting holes and then paint it. I'd hoped to put both Air/Fuel ratio gauges (I'm using 2 O2 sensors) in it, but it's not wide enough with the EGT display in place. I also need to drill holes for the ignition box and electric fan switches. It's progress, but not a lot in the last week. A lotta other stuff has been going on (the weather's been part of it) that have kept me away from it. I gotta re-focus and make sure that I get it ready for WoS in September. http://www.chevyasylum.com/85monte/Welcome.html Back to work. Ohh...one of the things I've been working on is one of my "part-time" jobs, Web Elf for the Target 500 streamliner team's website. We just did a big post on making dry-sump oil pans from medical-grade stainless steel: http://www.target550.com/gallery/100_oil_pans/index.html Jim Hume, the maestro of fabrication, does an absolutely gorgeous job. And this is only the first half of the update. The next one otta be forthcoming in a coupla daze. r On 3/26/2011 6:29 PM, faithcubsmc2691@xxxxxxx wrote:
