              Yeah. Real wood veneer would be a royal PITA to even attempt..
 Not a clue what glue would hold to the steel and the wood. Glues do not
stick to metal very well. If you were to get it to stick then the finish
would be an issue. You would either put a coat of epoxy on it and ab out 10
coats of varnish to protect the epoxy from the sun then recoat with 3 coats
a year Or you can try auto clear urethane on the wood instead. Wood doesn't
hold up to sun or moisture well.
