My grandfather had a 1970 Plymouth station wagon with the wood paneling.  He
was
too old to drive by then, so that car never got used very much.  But when we
did, my sister and I got to face backward in the back seat.  We thought it was
the greatest thing ever!

Local body shop will be the first place I check if I ever want to do this
woodgrain idea.

I like your style Saul. Not everyone is in to this model, and I am not a huge
fan, but I appreciate them. As for the Woodie's, we had a 1971 Olds Custom
Cruiser that was the medium metallic green with the wood vinyl. It was the
'look' back then.

There are people painting real flames that look really cool, and even though it
would probably be expensive, I would think paint would hold up better if you
could find someone that specialized in it. You would really be taking a leap if
it was real veneer.

My Sprint has some parts from a junkyard 73 Sprint that had the woodgrain
