I have just finished Tom Bradby's Shadow Dancer, a tale about an inexperienced intelligence officer handling an IRA terrorist coerced into becoming a snout. Tension and fear ripples throughout the book and the author's experience as an ITV journalist in Northern Ireland during the troubles certainly shines through. I don't know if he has written any other books but would certainly recommend this one, although it is a bit violent in parts. They so often seem to be about the traveller's ego more than anything else. Even worse is being trapped listening to people drone on about their holidays, but I expect I've grumped about that before.
