Hello again Diane. My experience did not duplicate yours. I went ahead and installed JAWS 16 on my system. After that when I launched DBT 11.2 SR4, it prompted me to install the JAWS script files. I answered yes to both questions. Everything went through smoothly, without repeating the prompt to restart DBT. I did have to bring the focus back to DBT manually. I wonder if there is an older version of JAWS on your system where the script files are not compiling. Anyway, here is what I recommend. Launch DBT. Answer no to the question about installing the JAWS scripts. Then press Insert+F2 S Enter to launch the JAWS script manager. That should open a file where the second line says July 29, 2014. Press Control+S to save and compile the script files. If JAWS says, "compile complete," all is well. Press Alt+F4 to close the JAWS script manager. If not, the compiler puts the cursor at the spot where the problem is. Please get back to me off list and let me know what happens. Thanks. I look forward to finding out how to fix this. Thanks. The problem that you are experiencing means that the JAWS script files are not compiling properly on your system. That could be happening in the script compiler for JAWS 16 or in the script compiler for an earlier version of JAWS that is on your system. I will install JAWS 16 on my system and see if I experience the same problem. Sincerely, Caryn From: Diane Scalzi Sent: Wednesday, November 05, 2014 5:32 PM To: duxuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [duxuser] Installing JAWS Scripts Hi Everyone, I have installed JAWS 16 and DBT 11.2 SR 4 on my Dell desktop computer running Windows 7 64 bit version. When I run DBT I get a message asking if I want to install the latest JAWS scripts. I press space bar on the yes button and it asks if I want to restart DBT. I press space bar on yes and then it goes back to the question about wanting to install the newest JAWS scripts. Just to get out of the loop I press the space bar on no, that I don't want to install the newest JAWS scripts and I can finally get some work done, at least until I run DBT again. I seem to remember this being an issue in the past and tried to research the list archive, but it seems to be quite useless. Is there somewhere I can get the scripts and install them manually? Hope you can help. Thanks. Diane ______________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned by the Symantec Email Security.cloud service.
