I've just had another thought ... and yes, I know they're very few and
far between <g>
Why don't these geezers offer an option to go back to 'traditional mode'
like we had when windoze 8 (and earlier versions) first came out and the
peoples couldn't find there way around the new fangled thingy ...
All the links are still there ... its just the front end ...
In time, the new fangled thingy gets general acceptance AFTER the tweaks
have all happened and everyone's happy!

<rant>It is a Government thing, this Library of ours. It has IT experts on its staff. They have to justify their existence, not to us, but to nameless bureaucrats who are busy empire-building.
I have no doubt this new interface with the public is bright and shiny and up-to-date. Too bright, too shiny to be useful to us grubby proletarians.
I also have no doubt the screams of the general public will be treated with the same disdain bureaucrats have always shown towards the general public.</rant>
