You can assign each language preference to a dokuwiki group, check for the group at login and set a cookie which can then be checked in spellchecker.php.Or if your users come from different countries you can determine country of origin of IP addresses using a free service from maxmind.com.Just a side note: Deciding upon the language of the spellchecker depending on the language/location/preference of the user doesn't make much sense. ;-) It's the language of the *text* that's important!Anika
Anika's comment prodded me into a better solution. So now I seem to have a working spell checker with user choice of languages: http://www.mturner.org/development/HTML-WikiConverter-DokuWikiFCK-0.28.tgzThis version puts a 'Language' button at the bottom on the editing window. It activates a pop-up which lets the user select a language, which can be changed as needed.
You have to have GNU aspell on your system, and any required language dictionaries, which can be downloaded from http://aspell.net
