MessageOmar. If the only thing that has altered in your set-up is the mixer,
and you have only found this issue since starting to use the mixer then, it has
to be something in the mixer. For example, does your sound card have a head
phone out? If so then, what does everything sound like on headphones, directly
from the sound card?

No, it doesn't have any pan knobs. It's been going on for a few weeks. I'm
using a new mixer, but as far as I know, the mixer doesn't have mono or stereo
settings outside the normal channel pans.

Are there pan controls for those gain channels? I don't own the piece. If
there are pans, pan them hard left and right. If they are panned to 12:00,
that would sound mono. Like I said, was this always the case or has it
developed recently?

I'm using the edirol FA66. I have both the gains turned up for the input
jacks on the card itself.

Has this always been the case? Have you upgraded your soundcard in any
way? I have MOTU stuff and I find hat unless I pan the left and right sides of
my MOTU Cuemix Console, I'll hear mono even when I have stereo. What is your
soundcard?

It's the result when I record a stereo pass of my stereo MIDI
instrument

Your MIDI sounds stereo. Is it your VST audio track that sounds
Mono or the result when you record a stereo pass of your otherwise stereo MIDI
instrument?

                  Hello,

I'm recording instrument tracks in Sonar with the input of
the track being stereo. I'm using the edirol fa66 as my soundcard. I know all
my connections are correct, and all my settings in sonar for playback and
recording are set to the edirol. For some reason though, the tracks still sound
mono, (with the instruments sounding in the middle rather than surrounding.) I
hear this through mixing headphones. Any suggestions?

                  Thanks.
