Steve. If you changed out that audio interface for say a Focusrite Saffire
Pro then, I think system performance on your laptop would dromatically
improve.

I've heard that m-audio's drivers for their soundcards have been somewhat
problematic with windows.

Hi Phill I am still waiting to get my new system and am still beginning to
learn sonar. I have the Fast Track Altra and I had nothing but problems
with it I heard nothing but pops and clicks when I would record something or
use a vst plugin on my old Toshiba laptop and I had to learn the hardway
that you can't run Sonar on a standard laptop and that is why I had to get a
new laptop which is designed for audio and switch to the Mackie Onyx 1620i
and the Motu midi express 128 because of my hardware synths that I have.

Nope, nowhere near as good as the MOTU gear. You really do get what you pay
for.

Hi folks, I am looking for new audio sound card. I have Sonar 8.5 with
CT8.5. Which audio sound card do you recommend me better than MOTU 2408 MK3?

Berhane Kidane
