way to go Bill you said it right on the money. Just to make it clear, and
there'll be no more said on this topic on my part, my intention was not to
poste inappropriate content, Infact I wasn't even aware that I was sending my
scheduling to the whole list. the problem has been fixed. Once again, I'd
like to take the time to extend my appreciation to the list, and how good of a
job we are all doing.

Take care.

  Dear All,

As many of you have stated, both on the list and off, we do have a good thing
going here. There are a number of veteran users here who have consistently
offered help to new users. The list also helps us at Dancing Dots to offer
support to individual customers while giving the same information to others who
may have the same question or challenge.

Ivan's original question was not unreasonable. He is a new user and he is
seeking our help and support. He is asking that people stay on topic. We all
do need to strike a balance between maintaining the genuine spirit of comradery
here while always being careful to keep purely chatty messages off the list and
sent directly to those most interested. The recent interchange between Kevin
and Mike about scheduling an interview over Skype is a good example. Perhaps
neither realized that they were actually communicating over the list and not
directly. And, as I wrote earlier today, search engines will find you answers
about how to use applications like Skype much more efficiently than sending an
off-topic post to our list.

But, returning to the balance idea, seeing such posts on this list does not
ruin my day or upset me greatly. But I do think it's time for all of us to pay
closer attention to what we post here and what we should send directly to list
friends off the list.

I agree that it is also time to take a breath and/or a long walk and
institute a cooling off period. I do not ever like to see abusive language
from any list members to any other members. If it continues to happen, I will
have to consider unsubscribing offenders. But, please, let's not get to that
point.

Obviously, if this list isn't proving helpful to a particular subscriber,
that person is free to unsubscribe themselves. I encourage Iván or anyone else
who does not want to read lots of individual posts to switch their subscription
options to "Digest". Go to http://www.dancingdots.com/main/listserv.htm and
use the form there to change subscription options.

  Regards,
  Bill

  Darren,

He's been emailing us off list also. It's not funny, nor a joke, nor
something to be taken lightly at this point. He's taken offense at people's
friendly overtures on here to the point where you'd think someone did harm to
one of his family members or something. Ridiculous and accessive; wouldn't you
say?

Oh come on guys, we're better than this.

We don't have to resort to custard pie chucking and bad language.

    Everybody just take a breath.

        Hey Ivor!

I suggest you either grow-up, learn some grace, or simply f*** off!

You are being offensive, ignorant, rude, and, let's face it, displaying
some
        rather psychotic tendencies...

        I don't know you, and I don't like you!

Lastly, if you're gonna post on this list, either utilize wordcheck, or
go
study my beautiful native language properly!

I'm offski now, and when I return, I don't wanna have to listen to any
more
        of your seriously nescient drivel...

It is realy easy to open up your mouth and make
suggestions when your not talking about your own time and
        resources.

I also think that your assuming too much about my
character when you say , "cheer up."

This listserve is not my life, but it has been ocuping
more than I care at this point.

At this point I am outwaiging the cost and benifits of
bing on it and at this point I am about to live it.

The list has been taken over by politics and personalities
        rather than principles.

The principle is that I joined this list to ask for help
as the CT manual instructed it not to get your personal
        stuff.

If you cannot get that, than, it may not be worthwhile to
        for me stick to arround.

You guys are doing a wonderfull job at alienating someone
who is in need for this list, but if you don't care, why
        should I.
