Well i'm not going to up grade to x3 until the new ct scripts come out so i guess that'll be a good thing.

Not really. What Bill is perhaps trying to say is don't install x3 until
David has scripts to offer, so you can fully upgrade. For those that like to
keep various versions of Sonar/CT on the same machine, well not sure how
that'll work out...
I guess when you buy x3 it is assumed that you'll upgrade to it and get
rid/uninstall 8.5.

so it appears this will make it difficult for us to go to sonar x3, oh
boy... that is to say if we have 1 machine.
At 11:50 AM 11/19/2013, you wrote:
If you install X3 on any machine on which you already have CakeTalking
installed and working well with SONAR 8.5, you will quickly find that
CakeTalking no longer works very well at all with SONAR 8.5 on that
machine.
You could try uninstalling SONAR 8.5 completely but consult Cakewalk on
how to do so without leaving any trace behind. It may not be so
simple. Again, We strongly suggest that you install any of the
X-series versions of SONAR on a separate machine.

So if for example, 1 has both sonar 8.5 on both a pc, and on a lap top,
and we then get sonar x3 included in the package, the reccomendation is
to un-install sonar version 8.5 and caketalking on 1 of the machines
before installing x3?

Hi Bill, are you selling Sonar X3, or are you planning on waiting until
the scripts come out?

We have some nice things to look forward to when David Pinto can get
his scripts working for X3. But, a word of caution: installing SONAR
X1, X2, or
X3 on the same system where you have SONAR 8.5 installed will
destabilize CakeTalking because the X-series installer will update your
Dimension Pro and other components to more recent, unsupported
versions. We strongly suggest that you install any of the X-series
versions of SONAR on a separate machine.
