That's the thing, you have to check with them to explain what is in
sf2 or soundfont format, but you also get the individual samples as
one shots. Drumsets tend to be in gm format wich you should be
familiar with if you played a keyboard before. No, you don't have to
name them. They are already named.
Do you have sonar yet. If you do download some free sf2 soundfonts so
you have a better understanding , also you can find free drum kits or
samples online that individuals make and put together. A lot of those
samples are not the best though, since they are free. That way you can
see how it works, and then you can go out and buy the good quality
samples that are geared towards the genre you want to work in.
