[ddots-l] Re: Loading Sample Packs In Session Drummer 3

Hello,
Thanks for the help. So my guess is that all of these drum samples are already formated into the right files and everything? Also, would it say on which file is a snare etc? Or do I need to learn all of that as well? Also, I'm guessing I would need to name the sound set as well? Like Merengue electronico or something?
Kind regards,

Josh

No you don't have to do anything else. You select the pad and I think
right click and load the sample file. Session drummer 3 does seam to
have a little bug though. When you load the snare it automaticly loads
into the three available slots for snares. For example, If you load a
snare on d3 it will load the same sample for dflat and e3, but other
than that your fine. Someone else on the list has that same issue.

remember the sound pack also include sf2 or soundfont instruments, so
those may include the piano and horns you mentioned. You can just load
the sf2 file into the SFZ player and that automaticly brings up the
samples that are specified in the sf2 instrument. You will not have to
load samples separately. Before you buy, email producersfault to
specify what sf2 soundfonts are included.

Good luck.!

Hi,
Thanks for this.
So I'm guessing it's just a simple matter of loading the samples somewhere
in session drummer 3? Do you have to do anything else with them before you
load them?

Hey Josh,
All that info was given in the website you gave a link to.

The Samples and Instruments

This Library, includes: One shot Conga, Guiras, Tambora, kicks and
Claps, as well as sampled instruments already formated for your
favorite Sampler including: Soundfont, HAlion, Kontakt, EXS24, NNXT.

You can load those one shots into Session Drummer 3 Demention pro and
SFZ player. Also, They have instruments in the soundfont format wich
means they have done all the work for you. You can load an sf2
instrument with the SFZ player, included with sonar under soft synths.
They don't specify what comes in sf2 format, but I'm assuming they
give you already made instruments and drumkits, and also the one shots
of those samples separately.

Hi all.
I was thinking of purchasing a merengue sample pack from
producersvault.com
and loading the samples into session drummer 3. I have never bought
sample
packs before and was wondering how they are loaded into session drummer
3?
Would I have to create a folder in session drummer 3 and title it
“Merengue
Sample Pack” or something. Also, the sample pack contains synth samples
as
well, pianos and saxophones. Would I have to load these into a different
sampler like dimension pro? If so, how would I do this and what would I
have
to do? Here is the sample pack.

Also, is this a very long process or can it be done quickly? When sample
packs are bought do they come in individual files?

I have never used sample packs before so any help would be much
appreciated!

All the best,

Josh
