Well, I have the original 2408 with the pci324 card, about 7 years old or so. Probably the newer drivers are really meant to support the newer hardware.

And, the WDM drivers do work much better than the ASIO drivers. At least on my system which is anIntel Core 2 Duo. Well, unfortunately, the wdm drivers don't work well with the MOTU 2408 which is what I'm using. After that, all you need to do is to change the buffer size within Sonar. On my system, I find I'm getting lower latency using the WDM driver. Plus the added bonus of being able to run multiple sound cards...Handy when youquickly want to listen to your mix on the computer's speakers for instance.Jean Please visit my site at http://www.studiomontebello.com You can also visit my girlfriend's art gallery at http://www.marie-helenemasse.com----- Original Message ----- From: "Gordon Kent" <dbmusic@xxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, July 09, 2007 10:21 PM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: Inserting soft synthsEven if you choose the wdm driver, you still will need to set the buffers in the delta control pannel in the hardware tab. When I press the keys on my keyboard I get delay. I've played around with the buffer size adjusting it down to about and eight and still no success. I'm using Sonar producer 6.2 and CT 6.2.4; I could use the TTS just fine with Sonar 4 producer. Can anyone, someone, please help me with this problem? Thanks No virus found in this outgoing message.
