Bobby,I have both sonar and cake talking and sib 5.2.5 with the sib access scripts and JAWS 11 and 14 on my windows 8 pc. I don't think you live too far from me, contact me off list if you want and we could arrange a time for you to come take a look at how it works etc. I'm very new to sibeleus but so far so good.

Hi Dave,I'm still using sibspeaking with windows xp and have it running on two old windows machines and a bootcamp partition of an older mac mini (ridiculous!!!). Is sib 5 with the scripts and plgins on your opinion a better alternative or should I keep clinging on to what I've got? I surely don't like the thought of working with stuff that's around ten years old by now and I sincerely hope that there will be a better solution on windows or the mac side of things in the not too far future. Has anyone on this list heard anything about the perspective of sibelius or finale becoming accessible on the mac?Cheers ThomasOn 10 mrt. 2013, at 05:51, "Farfar Carlson" <dgcarlson@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:Sorry, but Sib 7 falls far short of being accessible. You may want to visit the web site I posted to you, and read about it. Sib 5.2.5 with Sib-accessscripts is still our very best tool for producing scores.Of course you would need to purchase Sib 7 since that's the only version onthe market, but then you contact Tim Burgess and discuss downgrading to 5.2.5. Then you're on your way! I bought Sibelius speaking quite a while back and unfortunately can't use it anymore due to the factthat I'm using a 64 bit system. It would be interesting to see if I could get things working with Sibelius again. Lime and lime Aloud are currently not within my budget, which is rather unfortunate, as I like the option of being able to put my compositions down on paper rather than just render themas audio. So I went to the following website, found through a Google search and itmentioned that there was a blog regarding the accessibility of Sib 7. Justin case you weren't aware of this, I thought I'd post it for anyoneinterested. It may be a good source of information. The scripts are beinghosted here and I may consider trying them out. http://www.raisedbar.net/Sibelius/SibeliusAccessV5.htm The link is at the very bottom of the page and I still need to read morearticles there. Does anyone have an idea just how Accessible Sibelius 7 isnow by chance? IF you haven't visited this site lately, or have never done so, you're missing out on some real helpful tools for working with Sibelius andproofreading your work. I counted 177 plug-ins, of which I made sure to update the collection of 40 or more that I have installed with my copy of Sib 5.2.5. I strongly recommend you all look at this listing and enhanceyour capabilities with Sibelius. Most plug-ins that I've used are readable with JAWS. http://www.sibelius.com/download/plugins/index.html?pluginE6 Click on the link: Sibelius 5 » Then navigate by headings and read the descriptions of each. They are very small, and download quickly.
