Hey Legendary!Here's how to do a clean uninstall of Sonar, unfortunately, this is for Sonar 6 Producer, it might do the trick if you substitute Sonar 6 for Sonar v7 where appropriate:
Deep uninstallation of Sonar: Procedure #1:1 - Backup your work files, together with any templates, etc, in your user area;
2 - Uninstall Sonar from Control Panel|Add/Remove Programs. Say "Yes to All", when prompted to remove shared components;3 - Delete the Sonar 6 Producer Edition folder from the c:\program files\cakewalk folder.
4 - Delete the Sonar 6 Producer Edition folder from the c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\cakewalk folder, if it still exists;
5 - Delete the Sonar 6 Producer Edition folder from the c:\documents and settings\(your user name)\application data\cakewalk folder, if it still exists.
6 - Go into My Documents - there should be a Cakewalk folder within it. If there is, delete any Sonar and/or Sonar 6 Producer Edition folders within it;
7 - Using regedit, delete the following keys: HKey_Current_User|Software|Cakewalk Music Software|Sonar Producer|6.0 And: HKey_Local_Machine|Software|Cakewalk Music Software|Sonar Producer|6.0 8 - Reboot, then empty your Recycle Bin. Procedure #2: 1 - Go to Start|Programs|Cakewalk|Sonar 6 Producer Edition|Uninstall 2 - Once you've uninstalled, reboot; 3 - Go to Start|Run and type the following command into the dialog: Cmd Then press Enter; 3 - You'll get something like an old-fashioned DOS prompt. Type the following commands followed by Enter keys: Cd %temp% Del *.* (you'll need to confirm this one by pressing Y then Enter) Cd \windows\temp Del *.* (again, you'll need to confirm) Chkdsk c: /f /r (You need to run this command once for each hard drive you've got, so replace c: with d:, as appropriate. The command will almost certainly tell you that the drive is locked and ask you if you want the check to be performed the next time the system boots - say "yes" by pressing Y then the Enter key in each case); Exit (this command will close the command prompt and return you to Windows) 4 - Reboot again and don't be alarmed if it takes the system a long time before it loads up Jaws, etc.As for doing a quote blind quote install of Sonar, I always used to, using Windows Explorer, navigate to the DVD in My Computer, then copy & paste the entire contents of the disk to a location on my D drive, and do the install from there...
It worked for me, but someone else probably duz it different, anyway, I just know it worx...

Dear Listers, I had a catastrophic drive failure a few months ago, so I haven't been around for a while with a business to run, new bride, etc. I am finally getting around to reinstalling Sonar, CakeTalking, Sound cards and the like. I seem to remember a page where it led one through what to expect while doing a blind install of Sonar. I can't seem to find that page... this is somewhat important, because for whatever reason, I can not upgrade to Sonar 7.01 & 7.02. Sonar can't see Sonar 7.00 on my system for some reason. Obviously, I have to do this before installing CakeTalking on my system. #1, any suggestions as to the core problem would be appreciated, but if not, #2, would anyone know where that blind install of Sonar page might be?
