This capability has existed for years and in fact, was one of the main
purposes of Ghost.

I don't remember which version of Ghost introduced the ability to move a
Ghost image to a larger hard drive and recognise the remainder of the drive
space
but if your version doesn't include that feature I'd start over and forget
the
imaging method.
