IS there really a way to lock down WiFi?

Also, I have to Wifi WAP's any way to better secure this setup.

Cable Modem
Netgear WGR614 with b & G with WPA-PKI, Encrption changed every 60 min. WPA
key maxed out and unique, MAC blocking, turning of SSID.

Computer (Installing software firewall soon) Print Server

Microsoft MN-500 in WAP mode. B, WEP 128-bit, MAC blocking, SSID on. This is
the weakest link here. I have to use this to connect my SmartDisplay to as
it does not know WPA. It is only used to connect to my laptop (Remote
Desktop). NetStumpler shows the IP's for this one. Is there anything that
can be done like subnetting?

Laptop (Has software firewall, File and Print Services disabled for Wifi
card.).

Thank you,
Eric Vogel
