Since I mentioned it....... I have Crap Cleaner on my mind. I just wanted to tell you that I still prefer Disk Cleaner. http://www.diskcleaner.nl/ I installed Crap Cleaner when it was all the rage but soon when back to Disk Cleaner. I like the configurability of Disk Cleaner. If you download all the plugins with Disk Cleaner it will remove just about anything except boogers and I prefer to get them manually anyway. And there's nothing to gain by cleaning the Prefetch folder. We got the facts on that earlier. ------------------------------------------------ On Thu, 01 Feb 2007 16:38:58 -0800, cuffy10@xxxxxxxxxxx said:Everybody should have it ! That's why they make toys ! <g> To get serious........... the apps he has on the pen drive are Windows apps. From memory, one is the browser, Opera, so if you use his little pen drive toolkit you can take your pen drive, plug it into your hubbies machine, and open a portable copy of Opera to get to the web. There's a copy of Crap Cleaner on there so you could plug the pen drive into another machine and clean all the temp files, etc. I think he loaded the files depending on what would fit on the 32MB pen drive. They had a contest and the repair kit is just one of the ideas submitted in the contest. Some of the other ideas are listed on his site and he's developing them too. Download his zipped toolkit, open to it's own folder and you can use any of the apps included....... all freebies, and supposedly all portable apps (they don't write to the registry) Try it......... unless your delete button is kaput ! No charge either so the price is right. -------------------------------------------------------------- On Thu, 1 Feb 2007 19:19:54 EST, CRAZYDOVE@xxxxxxx said: >> I'm sorry..I didn't mean did I need it to backup my "stuff" on the > WD..I> meant is it something I could use, in general.
