I can relate to the mistyping.  Many an hour has been spend troubleshooting a 
telnet connection only to find out the user, despite assurances otherwise, was 
entering an incorrect IP address or server name.

I telneted pop.voyager.net 110, and did some maintenace.  I also telneted  
134.4.10.106 for the sake of this assignment.  Didnt run into many issues 
except the typing part.
