Don't forget if you skip one you have to pay for the ones in between. My friend has jaws eight and he was told that he would have to pay $750 for 9, 10, 11 and the one after that. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lynn I" <lynnskyi@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Sue!

I think the cost of JAWS varies depending on how many versions there are
between the one you're using and the latest version at the time you upgrade.

If you are a new purchaser, I believe the cost is $800.00.

Blessings.

Jaws is only $550. That may be because I have always bought Jaws, but that
is what they told me. However, the version I have works okay so I didn't
order it yet. It meaning Jaws 10. Isn't system access for Linux? Or is
that wrong?

Compared to the $1200 for jaws and $1000 for window-eyes, system access is a
bargain. I'm not positive about those prices, but they are close enough.

Awfully expensive too is System Access. Their web site says $500 for the
mobile version plus more money if you want a sexy voice.

Hi all,

John, System Access is a screen reader. However it is only now beginning
to work with braille displays. It only works with a couple of them, and
so if Sue doesn't have the right one, she won't be able to use it. Sue
needs a braille display to access the internet.
