A power switch would be nice, but I wouldn't send my Bookport back to get
the upgrade.
I have never accidentally unlocked the BP... Never! I have forgotten to
lock it, but that was my fault.

The problem with this would be, of course, the time and expense it would take to give the BP a hardware upgrade that would include a power switch. No one wants to be without their BookPort for any length of time.

I am aware of that but if its in your pocket it is still possible to unlock and I feel a swich on the side would be more appropriate.
