I really don't see any need for a real power switch, especially given
Larry's recent comment about how many years it would probably require to
run down the batteries with the unit locked under the present design.

It may be possible to unlock accidentally, but it's extremely unlikely.
I've had my BP for two years now and have never locked or unlocked it
accidentally. Has this ever happened to you, or anyone else who cares
to answer? A power switch would, however, come in handy for saving that
tiny bit of battery power that gets used when the keys are pressed when
the unit is locked. The problem with this would be, of course, the time
and expense it would take to give the BP a hardware upgrade that would
include a power switch. No one wants to be without their BookPort for
any length of time.

I am aware of that but if its in your pocket it is still possible to
unlock and I feel a swich on the side would be more appropriate.
