Agreed, how many times do you not have something to jot down with.  for 
instance, I live on my own and that kind of function would be valuable for 
jotting down say a phone number or a particular cooking instruction, 
something like that.  You know, even if it was only a 1 k buffer, you could 
do all sorts in that if you develop suitable shorthand.  After all, if it 
already supports entering text into a search buffer via braille, it wouldn't 
be so hard to do the same with memos.  The other thing as well is that the 
braille memo input would be more private as well as you wouldn't make it 
obvious that you were recording.
