I must agree with this message.  If I want to record memos, I'll buy a
digital recorder.  The Bookport can be improved, but let the
improvements be improvements that relate to its primary function,
reading and listening!

Wow, I hope we don't go down the note taker road!  It's a machine to
read
with IMO, not write with.  I would even have not supported a memo
recorder
function.  It is fabulous and best at doing what it was meant to do,
provide
portability in reading books and other materials.  I'd hate to muddy the
waters by making it more than that, or more than what it is now.  I can
think of improvements or enhancements that could be made within its
current
scope of work.  Example:  tell me how much reading time I left left, not
just 82% of bla bla bla has been read, etc.  Give me timed movement
commands, move by 1 minute, 5 minutes, etc., especially on audible
books.

Just my thoughts.
