review of the day of the jackal, not a bad book, did have some exciting parts to it, apparently there were a lot of attempts on charles de gaulle's life in the 60's, not sure they were all true, but guess some people didn't like him, this book centers around a hired assassin who is set out to kill him, guess I'd recommend it, Don
