Hi there, I've submitted, and subsequently validated over half a dozen
books, and every time I do this, when I check the adult rating check box
upon upload, it disappears when I'm preparing to submit the book for final
approval. I sent a message privately to Bookshare but received no
acknowledgement. Anybody experienced this?

Hi, Shelly.
My problem is that I did check the adult content rating and even left
comments as to why I did it but when the book was approved, it did not show
the adult content rating.

wereAlso the validator can uncheck or check the adult content box as well. After seeing the rating for the "bad language" which is usually off. Apparently Cloudy with a chance of meatballs had like fifty words thatuploadedconsidered Obscene.

Hi Lisa,
With the books I have validated, it says something like, the submitter did
not feel it is adult content, so I gather from that that the SUBMITTER is
responsible, nnot Bookshare's system. The system does its evaluation when
the validator uploads the book, so if you get books that offend you, it
would be the submitter who has neglected to specify this.

Hey, all. This seems weird to me but maybe I'm just not understanding how
this works.
The last two books that I validated did not show adult content ratings according to the bookshare program that assesses it. So, before Ithem, I made sure to check the adult content box and wrote and explanation
for my reasoning. I've noticed that they have not been labeled as adult
content on the site. Anyone have any ideas why?
