Many of us use the plustech opticblook 3600. It is being replaced by the
3800 now. There are also two more expensive plustechs, the 4600 (older) and
the 4800 (its replacement. We hear that the 3800 works very well with k1000
and costs about $250.

I appologize as this may not be particularly on-topic for this list, but as
a scanner for Bookshare, it's important to me!
My scanner died yesterday and I just wanted to know if anyone here has any
suggestions for scanners to use with K1000. I don't think the Epson scanner
that I had is available any longer. I also contacted Kurzweil but they're
not testing scanners these days so suggested I stick with Epsons but that
was about all the advice they could give.
Your help would be much appreciated!!!
