Hi Ann, If there are long pages missing their page numbers, and it is not possible or reasonably convenient to access the print copy, then I would recommend removal of the page numbers from the table of contents, retaining as many page numbers and breaks in the text as possible. I believe this would represent a reasonable compromise for getting the book into the collection successfully, assuming all the content is present. Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ann Parsons" <akp@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, April 25, 2008 5:59 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] book with odd page numbers Hi all, I have two books I'm working on. The first one's excellent! the second one is a problem. It was scanned using Open Book, and the scanner scanned two pages at a time, but didn't tell OB that was what was going on. So, I have these long pages, some have page numbers in the middle of the long pages so I have been putting in page breaks, but some pages do not. This book has a table of contents and if the pages aren't right, the table of contents will be all katty-wampus. What should I do? Somebody took this book and then released it. I know why. They didn't give any comments though, which would have helped. Advice, please? Ann P. -- Ann K.
