At the present time there is nothing you can do. We would like very much to have Bookshare develop a solution to this problem because we realize how many hours of validators' time is wasted under the present system. ----- Original Message ----- From: "siss52" <siss52@xxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Shelley,

You have hit on a point that is not clear to me. Supposing I worked on a
book, say got halfway through, and something happened in my life that would
prevent me from finishing it. How would I go about getting my "worked on"
copy to another validator? Does an administrator have to put it on Step 1
or what?

No, now the Administrator can send the "worked" on file back to Step one,
instead of the original file, so

If someone with OB downloaded the Arc files, saved them as rtf and
"approved" them, and the administrator "kicked them back" as rtf files, more
people could work on them.

I like the idea. It would sure solve some problems. I see a snag
though. If you reject the ark files and then submit the rtf form,
the original submitter won't get credit for his or her
submission. Of course, if the original submitter would resubmit the
book in rtf, that would neatly solve everyone's problem. (smile)

What about going through the download list and resaving all the .ark
files as .rtf files. Can you do that? Can you reject the .ark files
and replace them with the .rtf files. If you could, that would be great!
