you know Cindy, its not that some of us are afraid of adult rated books....its that some of us choose not to read those types of books and don't want to read them.

I for one don't like accessive vilance and sex and language.
There are so many wonderful books that don't have this in them and I don't want to read vilant fowl language filled particular types of books.

Its not fear its what we enjoy and or want to go into our minds and hearts.
I for one don't cuss and don't want to read books that have accessibe language because I don't enjoy that in my own life why would I want to read it.

I have an education and use the many wonderful words available to us to express myself and don't like fowl or volgar language.

I also do not like sex scenes in books I read....this is my choice and not a fear just something I have chosen for me.

We all have different interst and that is what makes our list special.
There are many wonderful personalities here and many varied interest working together to grow the bookshare collection.
That way all types of books can be read and available.

Just because a volunteer doesn't want to read about books full of violence and sex and fowl or crude language does not make them fearful.
It is their preference.

You know there are those on the list who have had a loved one murdered or who have experienced rape or vilant crimes and I am sure don't want to read about it.
We need to respect that and not call them fearful.

I feel volunteering we should all take the types of books we enjoy and that makes it enjoyable. If we take books just to move them off step one but dread it that isn't fun anymore and it will cause the volunteers to dread their work not look forward to growing the collection.
Not to mention the books won't get the care they deserve in valadating.

I for one am not interested in validating a lot of the ones that have lingered on step one.
I do read through the entire list but I take the books I like reading.
I read through the entire book when I validate to try to make it the best I can.

I release a book if I have it longer and can't get it validated so it gives someone else a chance to get it into the collection.

I hope this made sense.

Book #1 was submitted in March of 2008.
Book #2 was submitted in Oct. 2007. According to Carrie it is missing and two pages and has several that are garbled, probably scanned upset down. Someone should look at it and if you don't want to validate it, reject it. I have 5 downloads already and so can't. It's rated only Fair and the submitter was also the validator, so it was returned. Book #3 was submitted in March and nobody's tried it. It's rated Good; maybe the submitter is being modest. It's a Fourth Godfather saga book, so if any of you aren't afraid of Adult-rated books (for sex? violence?) and liked the Godfather books and/or movies, have a go.

March is 6 months ago, more or less. What should be considered "lingering." How long? Anyone who wants to can start at the bottom and check submission date of a book that interests you. I was taking books that had been on the list for more than 6 months but that was when we had no limit and then I was chastised for having so many and told I should release them so others could take them if they wanted to. Eventually some were taken, perhaps rejected--I don't know--and some were still on the download list when I was able to take a new book, so I took them then.
