Hi all,

Lori, the issue here is that the original poster cannot contact the lady. Yes, one might not know that there are chapter headings, that *is* possible, but apparently in this case, it is highly unlikely that a mistake was made of an occasional nature. There have been at least ten messages about this person on this list in the past twenty-four hours. I believe the major difficulty here is *not* the condition of her scans but her flagrant ignoring of common courtesy in allowing people to contact her. She should join this list. She should have a current email address. She should at least check that email address on a regular basis. Failure to do this is, at least in my mind, the worst of her offenses. Not communicating indicates a lack of responsibility. Lack of responsibility indicates sloppy work habits. Sloppy work habits indicate sloppy work, etc.

Maybe I'm weird, but I always tell people that if they are going to be hired by me, they need to communicate. I don't care if you can't come. I don't mind if you're late. However, if you don't call, you can forget being employed by me. Just hang it up. I'm not putting up with this at all, period.

Ann P.
