The Beckham bird club led by Win Ahren was out this morning at the
Hayes-Kennedy / Garvin-Brown area when we saw this huge flock of sandhill
cranes in the distance. The best photograph I have at 125x magnification. This
shows a very large flock of sandhill cranes flying to the right in the
distance. There is also a small flock of Canada geese much closer and flying to
the left of the frame
The position and direction of flock put its general path over Oldham County so
I wonder if anyone there saw it more clearly.Of course this is flagged as a
rare sighting and hence needs to be reviewed.
