I just came in from outside where I heard and saw several flocks of Sandhill
cranes passing over our property in Cave City. It's hard to tell which way
they were heading as they circled around several times, but they seemed to
be heading north.

We saw several hundred Sandhill cranes on the ground and in the air around
68/80 in Barren county this morning between 10 - 11 am. Then between 2-3
pm, had several waves of Sandhill cranes fly due north over Glasgow with
probably more than 1,000 birds. I believe David Roemer saw 10,000+ in
Barren county just last weekend, so I'm expecting many more to be flying
over soon. They were all very high up and hard to see, but their sounds
filled the air for more than the hour that I was outside. Linda Craiger /
