I was just south of Indy and she only had about 6 hummers which appeared to be
females & Juvis. She usually has 40+. I have not paid enough attention here
in KY to know what is still here.

I still have several at my house in Louisville as of today.

Generally speaking, they will decrease over the latter half of September and
most folks will see their last by mid-October, with a few stragglers usually
hanging in until Halloween somewhere in the state. As always, once November 1
comes any remaining hummingbirds need to be checked thoroughly as the odds of
them being something other than Ruby-throated is high.

My resident ruby-throated hummingbirds have left. I have not seen any at my
feeders since Saturday. Once the evening temperatures get below 50F they head
south.
